finding the resultant vector...^_^

Component Method

The component method of addition can be summarized this way:

1. Using trigonometry, find the x-component and the y-component for each vector. Refer to a diagram of each vector to correctly reason the sign, (+ or -), for each component.

2. Add up both x-components, (one from each vector), to get the x-component of the total.

3. Add up both y-components, (one from each vector), to get the y-component of the total.

4. Add the x-component of the total to the y-component of the total then use the Pythagorean theorem and trigonometry to get the size and direction of the total.

Example of Vector Components

Finding the components of vectors for vector addition involves forming a right triangle from each vector and using the standard triangle trigonometry.
The vector sum can be found by
combining these components and converting to polar form

Graphical Addition of Vector

Adding two vectors A and B graphically can be visualized like two successive walks, with the vector sum being the vector distance from the beginning to the end point. Representing the vectors by arrows drawn to scale, the beginning of vector B is placed at the end of vector A. The vector sum R can be drawn as the vector from the beginning to the end point.
The process can be done
mathematically by finding the components of A and B, combining to form the components of R, and then converting to polar form.

physics long exam...=(

wah!!!

last thursday, we had our first long test in physics...

even though i reviewed for the said exam,
i still got a goddamn 17 points out of 70 mind-annhiliating items...

my nose nearly bled in just going over the questions...

WOW!!! can a high school student answer this?!

i don't think so...haha!!!

but luckilly, i was able to...

and i got indecent score...

what the hell!!! one hour of pure physics...

PURE HEADACHE!!!

haha!!!

i got low score for now...

fortunately, i got 84% in the exam...

i passed... and my mom will not attend that call parent session a.k.a. "family day"
my mom won't hit me in the head!!! haha!!!

=)

i will study harder so that i can get decent outcomes in my exams...

i will take physics more seriously...^_^

go!!!^_^

my first post...

hi there...uhmmm...

i'm not really particular with this blog thingy...
but I really want to create one...not because I am forced to do so...

but I want to expose my feelings, and my ideas as well..then seeing other people's comment and other stuffs..

haha...nothing...

my first post is all about my expectations about our physics class and my feelings towards our teacher...haha...

I expect our physics class to be more productive than our physics last year...

it's not that I don't like our former teacher, it's just that I expect more learnings and more activities this year...

I am looking forward to this subject because it challenges me a lot...

I am not that good in mathematics, and in calculations, but I know that I will be able to cope up with our lessons...

I also expect that our teacher will share al his learnings to us because we are all just "newbies" in this subject...

I know that this subject is hard, but I know that I will understand our lessons with the help of our teacher and my classmates...

i expect more lessons, challenges and difficult exams...

i hope that our physics class will be very productive with the cooperation of the class and our teacher...

that's all for now...^_^
